1. Seed your lawn. It may seem counterintuitive, but seeding in the fall when the temperatures are cooler is actually a great idea. Sometimes, super warm temperatures can actually prevent grass seed from really thriving and growing. Patching bare spots in your lawn in the fall when the weather is cooler can help your grass seed better retain moisture and other nutrients. Don’t forget to aerate the soil before laying your grass seed!
2. Don’t forget to fertilize. Giving your lawn one last round of fertilization before winter can set you up for success in the spring.
